Is it any good Elvis??? Have you tried it out, or are you waiting for someone else to give it a go?? Mikk probably already has by now, along with another 17 flavours.

Ohmigawd! I've only just downloaded Version 10, "Julia", and it's been upgraded already... Bloody Linux! That's why they will never make it on the global scene. Get one distro and improve it, but don't upgrade it and call it a new version every friggin day! Bloody NUVI's!

It's just a blog entry for Mint obsessed people and won't be happening for quite a while. Over on www.distrowatch.com, they've only just (today) announced the KDE version of Mint 10 - the main version uses the Gnome desktop. Version 10 will be good for at least 2 years or longer if you don't add any state of the art hardware. Some people are still using version 7 or 8 (on old machines) A new release basically adds a new kernel, which is where the vast majority of hardware support comes from - within the system because driver CD's don't exist for Linux Ubuntu 11.04 which is what the new Mint 11 will be based on, is not due till May this year. Mint is always at least a month behind, so you're looking at June, probably July

I just looked up Nottingham on Google earth. Crickey, you guys are miles away from where we were plannig to visit. We are spending three days in London, then heading to my son's place at Rowton, Ashton on Clun, Craven Arms, a tour around Wales with him and his family, then down to Ray's place in Glocestershire to tour the Cotswolds, then to Rogers near Bristol, and all he has to offer, then up to Scotland for a driving tour, back to Steven's and then over to Paris, and then home. A Month's holiday in all.
