H! Mikkh,
I was looking in my Network icon and noticed this Connection Information, it says security: None.
is this right should i have some security?

It should look something like this if you're using a router There's no need to hide the numbers, all routers show 192.x.x.x addresses, that's not your real IP Address If you are seeing 192.x.x.x numbers you're safely behind the routers firewall and the security that says 'none' means you haven't got the software firewall turned on - that's all. There's no real need for it with a router If you're not seeing 192.x.x.x numbers you're router isn't set up right

H! Mikkh, My firewall was on, as for the rest Thanks i feel a bit safer now that you have explained it a bit as i do not now what i am doing with routers and wireless at the moment.

There you go then, I've learnt something too - I just assumed it was pertaining to the firewall
On further investigation it appears to be internal security between networked computers - something a business might use on a corporate or smaller network to stop industrial espionage. Nothing you should need for a home set-up though
