What a terrific response last week, loads of versions of the little foal, from the sublime to the ridiculous, and I loved every one of them. Great work everyone, and thank you. This week we're back to ducks, and a pic from Elvis. I've just given it a bit of a wash and brush-up for my first go, now it's your turn. ;D

All good stuff there folks, (that duck looks delicious KC). A bit of colour on this miserable, dull, wet day. ;D

I like that KC, did you use tubes for the swan and heron?. Very nice. I was trying for a "watercolour" look with this one. ;D

No, I dont use tubes Nocky. I get an idea, Google for pictures of whatever and cut out the bits I want. That one was easy with just one picture, but sometimes I might use half a dozen or more. I'm totally insane, I look at a picture and see things that are not there.

Nice KC, the birds are very well done. Haven't been doing as much as usual so far this week,(blurred vision) but here's one I did finish. ;D

Thanks Nocky. I love them pintails, they must be the prettiest of all the ducks.

Interesting effects Elvis, I like the first one. You really like that coffee stain, don't you. Here's a bit of the Impasto effect that I like. ;D

A Duck kaleidoscope. ;D

I thought Donald would add a bit of colour, ducks dont come any more colourful than Donald Nocky.
I like the kaleidoscope, it turned out regular and didn''t lose the duck as they tend to do.

Love the pics, but are you sure DD isn't copyrighted, Ken?

Post by ken on Aug 12, 2010 16:55:33 GMT
The copyright got hidden by the magnifier, but it was put out as downloadable Angel. I have not altered it, or tried to sell it as my own work. I have just put the picture on top of another. If they want to sue me, I will give them my lawyers phone number and take out a counter suit for promoting a Disney star.
They released that picture, as its Donalds 75th Birthday.
Happy Birthday Donald.

Here's a strange looking kinda night shot, I think. Just playing around with filters and I don't think I could repeat it, (I doubt if I'd want to ;D).

I love it Nocky, it kinda looks like a piece of Japanese silk. The colour reminds me of a silk painting I saw, but that had herons and not ducks. The heron is regarded as lucky in Japan, like the combine harvester is in the West Country. Not that I can remember seeing a combine havester painted on a silk robe.

Thanks KC, but as I said, it was the lucky result of a mix"n"match with random filters, I only posted it because the ducks were so clearly outlined. Here's another one from the same session ;D
