There are a few ways to make sure you read all new posts.
- Open each category from the homepage and then read each board
- Open each category and look for the 'NEW icon' next to a thread, which will appear when you are logged in to show you that a thread has been updated.
- You can also click on View the 100 most recent posts of this forum
This is found under Forum Statistics in the Info Centre on the homepage
- Check out Message 4 for another navigation tip.
Don't forget that you can Bookmark any thread that you are interested in, so that you will get an email when a new message has been posted to that thread.
UPDATE: 14TH MARCH 2009
I have added a Thread Jump which you will see at the top of every board
You can click on the drop-down arrow to quickly find a topic/thread that you wish to read or for example, in the PC Help section, you may want to check to see if a problem you are having is already listed.

Alright then, you clever lot! How do I move on to the next topic? There must be a button for going on to the next thread, but I can't see it... I'm timing your answers. The clock is running now!

Hey Mister Bear...what do you mean? An easy way to view all the latest threads/messages? If so, try clicking on 'View the 100 most recent posts of this forum,' which is on the homepage under the heading 'Forum Statistics' Otherwise you will have to just click on each board and look for the 'New' Button. Is that what you were after?

No, no no no no... lol
6 minutes ain't bad!!! Lynnrose is the Queen of Keen!
When I finish reading this thread, I might want to go onto the next one in Hints and Tips. I am looking for a button at the top of the page that says "Next Topic" or something like that. On MSN it used to say "Next Discussion" or Prev Discussion".
Otherwise I have to go back to the big CIT button at the top and start all over again... Am I missing something?

What I've been doing for the past couple of week, is using the search feature.
I've bookmarked the search page -
computertypes.proboards23.com/index.cgi?action=search
And then I've left the "search for" box blank, and then at the bottom of the page clicked to search last 24 hours, and set the boxes like this....
That way it gives the list as threads, rather than individual posts, which works a bit better for me.

That's a bit of an improvement, Roz. I'd still like to flip from one to the next without having to keep going back.
Here's your hug, Lynnrose!

Thanks for the drink Lynnrose. ;D Yes I'd prefer to do that too Fozzie, but I'm trying to think positive... The time spent going back and forth, is no where near as time consuming as sitting refreshing the page numerous times, before MSN finally decides to load.

Search isn't working for me at all today Lynnrose. It worked on Saturday, I don't know about yesterday I was busy so didn't get chance to look in. Edited to add: I've tried it on both my desktop and laptop, so it doesn't seem to be at my end.

Ah, it's working now. It must just have been a gliitch earlier on, if it happens again I'll give it an hour or so and try again before mentioning it.
Thanks Lynnrose.

We don't have a Birthday board anymore as it didn't really get used, but I shall be putting birthdays in the coffee bar where your thread is, for active members.

Not sure......I don't know how they can be hidden if they are viewing as a guest....members can choose to be invisible via Modify Profile if that's what you mean?

Yes that was correct, in as much as the actual names were not showing. Strangely however today everything is back to normal and names are showing again. It appears it was a 48 hr glitch.

Er - the plot thickens. It is fine before I login, but as soon as I login it goes back to the 'hidden' scenario, that's not the case on CIT?
