iPlayer Tips
I don't watch that much TV on the PC, but I came across these tips on Web User.
When I saw that some portable devices are supported which includes an Archos, I decided to have a go. I have had my Archos AV 700 for quite awhile now and use it alot. The iPlayer 'people' have tested it on the Archos 605WiFi and the Internet Media Tablet, so I thought I would try my version to see if it works. I am doing a sync now, but it has been stuck on 93% for ages. I will let you know if it works.
Anyway, I thought it might be helpful for any of you that want to transfer an iPlayer programme to DVD or maybe a USB stick or another portable device (the devices they have tested are below) Could be useful for long car/train journeys. I use my Archos on aeroplanes and in the car.
"Once downloaded, you have up to 30 days to play the programme, and once played you have up to seven days to finish watching the programme."

I did it! The first sync just took everything off Windows Media Player, hence why it was taking so long, so I had to start again, play about with the settings until I realized how to sync just the one iPlayer programme I had downloaded (which happened to be Eastenders) It finished in about 30 seconds and works.....so fast. Well pleased with my experiment.
Now I have to remember how to do it for the future.
Note to self: Turn on Archos Display Setup Screen System USB Port Change to Windows Device (normally set at Hard Drive) Open iPlayer downloaded programme and save to playlist Start to play programme Press pause Sync Tab AV700 Set up sync Click Finish Put a tick at Sync this device automatically Highlight everything on the right, except for iPlayer programme and click Remove Click Finish iPlayer p-rogramme will now sync to Archos
