I have windows messenger on my desktop but would like to put it on my laptop, as I will be using the same name and password etc., is it possible to do this, or will they just say name not available. Many thanks....

If the laptop is vista, the messenger is already there, and u can log in with ur usual details. I use maybe 4 diff pc's and laptops, and all take same hotmail addy.[/size][/font] Not at same time mind

If you use Windows Live Messenger 2009, you can be signed in on several different computers at the same time. So if you are at home, you can sign in there and then again when you get to work.

ah! thanks Larry. I often wondered why I could see someone on Messenger when I knew they were not at home

As the list of buddies are held on the messenger server you also get all those appearing on any other PC you are logged into Graham
