I am having problems periodically uploading coloured images from IrfanView to Tinypic in as much as they sometimes appear in Black and white on my laptop which usually works well but occasionally it does not!!
I do not have this problem on my Desktop machine which uses AdobeAirInstaller38, I am of the opinion that this enigma may have something to do with "Flash Player" but would appreciate some advice on this please.
I would add this is an occasional problem and sometimes it varies according to the image chosen.

The image you posted today was in B/W on the forum page, but colour on the jigsaw site.
I it very strange that whatever is doing this is carrying through to here.
But it does suggest something in the data may be changing on your machine.
Beyond that, I'm not sure at all.
Addition
Reading your post again, you are using Irfanview?
I have a copy of that but rarely used it. That would seem the be where the problem is probably emerging.

I dont know why people feel compelled to use these magic uploaders, I upload and download faultlessly all over the place and I do it all using Windows. Why cant people be satisfied with what they have got?? No something extra must be better. Doesn't it sink in that they are the only people who ask for help, everyone else just plod along. Technical details are something else, but there is nothing technical about causing conflicts on your software. Graphics software is the easiest to screw up. Best to get rid of all the graphics crap on the computer, except for the one program you use for photo editing and then give the OS a good clean. Another point, I dont think people are cleaning out their OSs often enough, these days every man and his dog are using perfectly legal tracking cookies.

I'm not sure which uploader Buzzy might be using. I know Irfanview has a good reputation, but as I said, rarely ever used it personally.
I use Paint to get stuff from my clip board, crop out what I need and perhaps some basic editing. For more advanced editing I am still using a copy of PhotoImpact3 which I got in the late 90s,free on the cover CD of a magazine.
The TinyPic icon in CIT is an excellent uploader.
Though my own opinion, Buzzy's Jigsaws are great. I do one almost every day and it matter not a hoot if his graphics are in B/W

Oh right - I have used the combination of IrfanView and TinyPic for many years, even back to MSN Groups without problems, and as I stated the enigma is (and never has been) evident on all my machines over many years.
I asked for help, not criticism for being somewhat idiotic.
Jojo, thanks for your kind comment on the Jigsaw, current total is just over 3000 without concern.
Maybe Mikhh or Lynnrose may offer me some sensible guidance at some stage?

Way too harsh Ken! Buzzy my friend....happy to help Try this tip here, looks promising Q: Problem: Since yesterday, IrfanView shows all my images black/white! Why? A: The load option for JPGs "Load as grayscale" in 'Properties->JPG/PCD/GIF' is activated, please uncheck! Note: in the Save dialog, see JPG format save options. The option "Save as grayscale" must not be active. www.irfanview.com/faq.htm#Q4Lots of Love from all CIT members who are always happy to help...no job too small xxx

Those are excellent points lynnrose. I confess my knowledge of Irfanview is so limited I couldn't have offered them myself.
This would seem to be an on off problem though as Buzzy has said before.
Something would seem to be switching the function on and off, unpredictably. Perhaps another program.
I know this might be a bit desperate, but do you have a mischievous child, between 5 and 100 years, perhaps turning things on and off again for a laugh? Sounds like the sort of thing which might happen in my house.

Over the years both Windows and the Internet have been upgrading. What worked a few years ago; might not work now and the more complicated you have made your OS, the more chances of conflicts. Keep advising people to keep it simple and not install anything thats not needed, but of course everybody knows better. If you do something to a computer, you should be able to undo it. In theory nothing should ever become unfixable in very short order. Without any information as to what anyone has done to their computer, its impossible to know what to do to fix it and it only takes one insignificant application to upset things.
