Apple?

I understand that Apple doesn't load Java or Flash, unless the user deliberately puts it on. (If I'm wrong, please correct me).

Since Apple users can access YouTube and presumably, our daily Jigsaw, what software is their machines actually using?

This strange situation only applies to Flash, Java is not affected as far as I know

It basically means 'Safari' the native MAC browser isn't the most popular even on it's own platform because Google Chrome has flash built in

HTML 5 will eventually make Flash, Java and other similar browser plug-ins unnecessary anyway

The Wikileaks page seems to be blank. Presumably, someone didn't like it, but I wasn't aware of Wikileaks caring before.

I must say, I can't imagine surfing the web without Flash. So many sites incorporate videos, especially news.

I've recently stopped using Chrome because it makes XP crash. Presumably other OSs are not affected.

Wow they took that down quick and cleverly edited it to 'why apple won'

If you can be bothered to know the reasons, there's an 'open letter' by Steve Jobs on that very subject that's easy to find in Google

he basically claims it's old technology (read it makes his products look bad) and in a very ironic pot calling kettle black moment, he also decries it for not being fully open source!

But apparently, none of these is completely compatible.

edit: Just checked the above link you supplied yesterday. It still leads to the blank page, titles Why Apple Won. Not sure what that's all about. But hopefully Wikileaks have something interesting planned.
