F4UBCD is often recommended as a replacement for Hirens Boot CD. It is hailed as better than Hirens having more tools and that it can apparently run Flash.
I have to say, I was a little surprised at the claims it can run Flash, such as YouTube, since Flash is continually updated. My copy of F4UBCD doesn't run Flash.
The tools seem to be very similar of the already bloated list of sometimes obscure tools supplied by Hirens.
I was nosing around F4UBCD on USB, last night and discovered that the principal difference between Hirens and F4UBCD is the inclusion of a custom command line utility called NirCmd along with a collection of tools also supplied by the same site that offers NirCmd.

NirCmd principal function is to allow various tasks to be performed invisibly, that is, with no visual indication on screen.

The generosity of the writer of NirCmd is offering us all, this custom command, free of charge, won't be lost of anyone, I trust. His inclusion of the tools to go with it, many which absolutely must be included, as a condition of using NirCmd will probably be seen as little more than an annoyance.
I'm sure that the writer of NirCmd and the compiler of H4UBCD are both completely altruistic. But it does rather suggest that the writer of H4UBCD has simply slapped NirCmd plus its associated tools, onto the Hiren's and relabelled it as his own.
It does rather beg the question, in both instances, Why?
