Hi, Guys,
I sent a message about this last night, but it did not appear, so I am trying it again. The TEMP folders in WinXP and Win7 are full of attachments to emails that I sent over the past year or two. And as many were scans in JPeg format, they were large files using up much space.
I have 2 questions for the experts, please.
1) Is there a feature to turn this off - like emptying Temp folder on exit or something similar?
2) Are attachments to emails also stored in PCLinuxOS and where are they kept?
Many thanks.
Alex

Temp files can be removed in CCleaner in W7, afraid I don't know anything about Linnux.

There's a program called 'bleachbit' in Linux, that does a similar job to ccleaner. Run Synaptic the package manager and install it from there.
Linux is better organised than Windows anyway, I've never found GB's of useless junk which is common in Windows systems

Thank you Mikkh. I already had it, but I did not know what it was for. There are two apps. One is for Root and the other for Home.
Thanks again and have a very Happy Chrismas.
