Just lately I have been getting this message pop up on my pc..... This computer cannot play audio because the "Windows Audio Service" is not enabled. Would you like to enable Windows Audio Service? Why should this keep happening? And where would I find it?

If I have been using external USB speakers or USB headphones, the internal speakers sometimes dont kick back in when the externals are removed. Uninstalling the internals in Device Manager and rebooting normally fixes it, when Windows reinstalls the drivers. The last time it happened that didn't fix it, so I put the driver disk in and reinstalled the proper drivers. If the laptop is an older model that has had the operating system upgraded, the driver disk will be useless and the correct drivers will have to be downloaded from the website. I have found that the older computers are better at excepting the drivers that Windows installs, than newer models which are more fussy.
