Several people are mentioning to me the aggravating time it is taking for their machines to start up. and a program called "Soluto" has been previously mention in 'ComputerActive' magazine in the past. Is this the way to go, or is there any modern alternative? tinyurl.com/ouc89lcThanks for any suggestions!!

Avoid Soluto, it's annoying to setup and basically an advert for an application that wants to charge you a monthly fee - and it knackered up my previously fine Windows XP virtual machine. Luckily it's only a minutes job to delete it and reinstall it again.
Slow boot ups are invariably caused by the all the guff loading with Windows and can be easily sorted using 'msconfig' or via tools/startup in ccleaner. The only things that should be there are security programs - everything else can be stopped/disabled

Thanks Mikkh, I will have a good look at your suggestions minus Soluto.
