How can I stop pop-ups from]constantly appearing. I have ticked the relevant box to Block pop-up windows (Firefox -Tools/Options)but they still come up.[

Hi jiff1,
Do you mean in general or just on proboards?

Jiff, mate; if you go onto Majorgeeks you'll find an app called 'popup stopper free edition' from a site called Piriform. Just DL and install it - it's infinitely configurable in Settings > Tools and it'll stop ANY popup in its tracks. If you need to view the blocked popup, all you have to do is reload the page with the CTRL key pressed - simple!

Thanks for your replies. I have looked at Majorgeeks but didn't find the site 'Periform'. Can you tell me where exactly to look please? The pop-ups are general. not just on proboards.
Regards

Adblock Plus also seem to block pop-ups (at least it did for me). It is currently at v2.4 and can be install as an extension for Firefox by searching under "get add-ons" by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+A
