it is running really slow on face book with keystrokes. So I have re installed my OS and tried again? but it is still really slow on facebook I think I may have a slow processor and it may be on its last legs . But typing on here is all my keystrokes are spot on? is it just facebook that have slowed down there servers? I think it maybe them and not my end. Has anyone else had the same issue?

An NC10 with it's single core Atom CPU and 1 GB of RAM (unless it's been upgraded) is pretty old school and Facebook is one of the greediest sites on the internet - so it's not surprising it's struggling.
If you haven't got an adblocker installed, that should make it a bit more responsive, as would installing more RAM. But realistically it's probably time to replace it with something a bit more modern or start doing some experiments with a lightweight version of Linux like Puppy

I have upgraded the RAM it was the first thing I did when I got it. Cheers for the info about the ad blocker. Though not sure which one to install? what would you recommend?

Installed adblocker and still lagging. I think your right Mikkh Time for a new one I have had this 8 years. I think I will have to right a letter to Santa. I installed Linux to a laptop a few years ago and really enjoyed getting it up and running to a decent spec. but I think that this NC10 has just about had it now. I think the processor is on its way out TBH.
