Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I saw the link over at IOD coding and got interested. I'm the IT person in the family and often have to go to the web for help.
I spent quite a bit of time here earlier today and can't quite figure things out.
I couldn't find anywhere to introduce myself, nor any rules to sign. I see a chat board at the bottom of the board but no one has been in there in months.
So, where do you folks do your casual chatting?
About me: I live in the US, in Kentucky, have three grown children, five grandchildren, two dogs and three cats. I have been married to my husband for 52 years. I am long since retired and spend my day on the computer, reading and playing video games.

Hi JJ, ...and welcome to CIT We don't use the Chatroom. It has been used in the past, but no-one seems interested. No rules to sign, problems are dealt with as and when needed (can't remember the last time there was anything to cause concern) Casual chatting is just as you are doing now.
There is a Chatbox on the Homepage, right at the bottom of the page. I can see that you have already replied to some threads which is great to see.
Going offline now...10:35pm here in the UK See you tomorrow

Thank you Lynnrose. I didn't want to get off on the wrong foot. I am familiar with Proboards forums and can navigate without a problem, but every site has it's own layout and flow.

I love trivia so I've been hopping around the board, Lynnrose. I won't always be so active, but it's all new for me now. I have my own place to run and am pretty active in another site, but I really like the friendly people here and it's a place to come when I need help with a pc problem. There are some great sites on the web, but you don't really get to know the people like at a place like this.

Welcome to CIT, it's not the thriving hub it used to be due to regular members drifting off for various reasons over the last few years. Even I don't get on as much as I used to, but I try to check in every couple of days to see if there are any interesting problems to solve. Lynnrose does a great job in keeping the place alive and deserves special praise for doing so - well done sweetheart

Thanks for the invite, Elvis, I visited your thread.
Thank you Buzzy. I checked out your thread. I adore jigsaws. When my husband and I were young and poor we did them all the time. My children grew up with one always in progress on the coffee table, and in later years, the kitchen table. Unfortunately, two and a half years ago I had a detached retina and after five surgeries I am considered legally blind in that eye, even though I still have a bit of vision. Unfortunately, I have double vision and anything that is timed is now a major challenge if it includes visual things. I have retrained myself to be able to read, but puzzles and such take me so long it's just not gonna happen. It's funny you should mention this. Just the other night my husband asked me if I thought I could do a puzzle and I rolled my eyes at him. Maybe one of those wooden things my toddlers had. I'm still learning how to deal with the vision, so who know... all things are possible.
P. S. When my son was three and a half years old he loved doing 500 piece puzzles. He had his own table set up in the basement and would stay there for hours.
