I have added a new code, but only on the Coffee Bar, Forum Games, Birthday board and this board I am using now - Hints and Tips
Yeah, I know....you lot probably won't use it, but I did it anyway
It's an easy way to use Rainbow Text in your posts, like this...
[smear:FF0000]Hello, Lynnrose here, trying to give you something new to use on CIT[/smear:00FF00]
The 'button' is also showing on Quick Reply too This is the button to look out for...
This is the 'button' on Quick Reply...
...and again on the main posting page...
All you have to do, is click the button and you will see this code in your post...
Just type your message in the middle, like this...
[smear:FF0000]Then when you click Post Message, hopefully you will have Rainbow Text
Enjoy [/smear:00FF00]

I used (smear:FF0000) (/smear:00FF00) but using square brackets instead of round ones of course?
[smear:FF0000]I used the above code but using square brackets of course[/smear:00FF00]As you can see it works fine here on CIT but it won't work on mine despite the fact I copied and pasted the above.

OK Nan, modified your post so I could see what you did.... You need to click the icon, then type message in between. You inserted the code, wrote your message, then inserted the code again....like this

Nan, you are clicking the button twice
You need the smear at the beginning, then type your message....then the /smear after your typing
You have... smear then /smear then you type your message and have smear and /smear at the end
