This blogger makes a number of points. He has a video where he spends 15 minutes talking about them. It's quite amusing and interesting. After you watched it, or at around the 10 minute point, you can amuse yourself thinking of all the terrible things you'd like to do to his puppy. Enjoy. chris.pirillo.com/how-to-compete-with-the-ipad/

I'm a little disappointed that there hasn't been any feedback to this article.
Does anyone have any comments of the video and what claims it is making?

Sorry not to have got back before Jojo. Its prats like him that give prats like me a bad name. The man is a total imbecile and I gave up after about 3 minutes. I don't like any tablet and would rather have a lid. I think iPads and iPods are over priced. There are plenty of other stuff on the market, for a lot less money. Who needs 50 apps when you only use 5 and 3 of those not very often. I've got more storage in my camera than them things and my camera is probably more useful.

Well, I suppose it shows how bored I really am. But the only positive thing he seems to have to talk about it are, what he described as, the wondrful graphics in a children's game. But the rest of it semed to be social bullying, that having the latest gadget is somehow, so essential. But I can't help get the feeling that the PC backers have dropped the ball here. The two biggest problems for PCs are dealing with malware and compatability. The Tablet seems to have dealt with those. Malware because they simply deny it. If they don't recognise it, it doesn't exist. Compatability because only that which has been approved by the Emporer Jobs, is permitted. The hype, which seems to be remarkable effective, is just making it impossible to say anything else. Note the lack of contributors to CIT for example. Note the lack of contributors to all forums. The tendency isn't the specialist nature of CIT, its the evolution of the market. I have to say, I found it amusing, to say the least, the number of very young boys, often, who hadn't even started shaving, who seemed to completely dominate the high tech market. The problem with being young and smart is the young bit in the equasion. Speaking as someone who was once young, so i do have that much experience, at least, being young has some flaws when it comes to making decisions. But increasingly, young guys are bing rolled out as some sort of experts. Or is it that I'm just old and should perhaps shut up now? But don't tell me that policemen are not younger now-a-days.

I'm with Ken, only I can remember last week as well
and yes they are younger, the younger ones must have been chained to the station desk till they reached 30 in times gone by because you never saw them on the beat till they had wrinkles and a carefully grown moustache
