Apple spy number 2 do you mean? There's already the 'legal spyware' called Bonjour running on any computer that has iTunes installed which is one of the reasons I never install it - the other being it's a resource hogging pile of trash

I think iPad's and iPhones are beautifully made and designed pieces of kit that are a pleasure to use..........iTunes on the other hand is surely the work of the devil. I hate it not only for for the reasons muted by Mikkh but also the arrogant 'lock in' it enforces of anyone who has to use it...which is effectively anyone who wants an apple product.

My problem with Apple is that it is all hype and no substance. Almost every dedicated Apple user I've spoken to has claimed that they don't get virie or malware. Firstly, there is no such word as virie. That these people tnd to say the same thing suggest that they are all reciting the same line. ie, brainwashing. Scondly, as I'm sure many will confirm, vuruses do occur on Apple. That rre aren't so many is because there aren't as many Apple users. Malware are just programs that crash. Apple get those. Spyware is an ongoing problem as this report suggests. But inspite of any claims, Apple software is simply over priced rubbish. Thir hardware is even worse. What is the point of a phone with a battery life of a few hours? Come to think of it, what is smart about a phone with a dead battery? Rant over. Thank you for your patience in listening.

I don't know what the phones are like, I cant say I've ever seen one. In regards to computers; the most expensive PC looks like a piece of junk, when compared to the cheapest Mac. Although the cheapest Mac probably cost more than the most expensive PC. Thats a proper PC; not an overpriced piece of junk, that companies like Alienware flog. They are like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Ford. They might not have the speed, but they are superbly built. I wouldn't give you tuppence for one and the OS is crap in my eyes, but I do admire the workmanship.

Yes the MAC enigma, definitely stylish, but are good looks really worth all that extra?
It is true that 99.9% of viruses are aimed at Windows users, so while it's still possible to catch a virus on a MAC or even in Linux, in reality it all but never happens - just like winning the lottery basically
It both amuses and annoys me that people will accept MAC OSX even though it's completely different to Windows, but will dismiss Linux almost without trying it. I guess it's the fact that they've paid an obscene amount of money for their MAC's and will try to get their money's worth if it kills them.
I hadn't even seen a MAC 'in the flesh' till I'd been using Linux for several years and the first thing I thought was - why is this MAC running a Linux OS? It did look glaringly like the XFCE desktop to me and made me wonder even more why Linux hasn't got more users

To me Mac OS is only a branded Linux anyway. Just the same As Red Hat Server, is a branded Linux. Red Hat call theirs Linux, but Mac wont admit it. If Mr Lindows had been clever enough to write a complete working system years ago, we could all be using Lindows and not Windows. Its pretty obvious why most of Linux is Open Source, the good systems got registered and everything else got left out in the cold. It doesn't matter how good you get; if your not first past the post, you will forever be an also ran.
