The local 'cattle market' (basically a small car boot sale on Saturday) has some good bargains - if you get up early and fight off the East Europeans!
I got a nice one cheap (£10) last week because it had a scruffy case, but I was surprised to find it almost as good as my main PC and it had the added bonus of having the original HD complete with restore partition - press F10, brand new legal install of Windows, Cheers
Todays bargain cost me a fiver and while it's not as good as last weeks with it's barely usable P4 1.7 CPU and 764 MB of RAM, it's looking a lot healthier now I've added an old AGP graphics card to replace the on-board graphics and put a fresh install of Windows on to replace the Norton crippled version that was on before. One of the optical drives had been replaced by a newish DVDRW - which is what attracted me to it in the first place
Wonder what I'll get next week
