I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of response to my request for pics to use, so to finish off this experiment, here are the three remaining pics for you to play around with.] First off, another view of Elvis's mountains. my effort, next, Elvis's hill in Turkey, my attempt, and last, but not least, LRs old b\w picture of her lovely grandma, my poor try at adding some colour. This has been a very popular and well supported topic in the last few weeks, but with no new pics being donated, there's no point carrying on.

Just a little bit disappointed LR . I thought Angels idea of using members pics was really good, and for a few weeks, it did generate lots of fun and first class work, but a general reluctance to donate pics means it has come to an end. Not to worry though, it will be back to the usual "Weekly Topic" next Monday, (if I can think of something new by then). And we can always count on phoney to provide our regular dose of humour. Nice one. ;D.........you posted same time as me Angel. ;D

People are often afraid of copyright issues, but you have my permission to use mine in here, otherwise I wouldn't post them. Swome are also too modest about their work.

You are probably right Angel, but I did make it clear at the start that I only wanted pics preferably taken by the poster, and clear of copyright, which is why I couldn't use some those pics originally posted.

Nice work Angel, you got Gran's skin looking a lot better than I did, I had the poor woman looking like one of the aliens out of "Avatar". ;D Here's my latest offerings.

You got it wrong Angel. It was the 12th Polish Regiment who put their colours on Monte Casino on the 18 May 1944, not the Welsh Guards.
I dont know why Reichmarshall Hermann Wilhelm Göring is sitting in the weeds, as far as I know he was never there.

This program of mine has a great background eraser Nocky. So by turning pictures into PNG, resizing and erasing the background, You can really lay one on the other and make it all fit together with the minimum of cloning. The darker the colours of the pic to be used as the forground, te easier it is to work.

That looks like a genuine photo Ken. Excellent the way the neck shadow masks the join. Can we trust anything we see these days?

Thanks Phoney, no you cant really trust anything. Some people are really clever at it and they alter the resolution, depth of field and colour saturation. Once they have the picture together and printed, its just about impossible to tell. Its when people put stuff together and nothing matches up, then you can easily tell. You have to carefully pick your pictures. Because of the change of body angle, I think that would have looked odd without the parasol on her shoulder. Thats what put it together for me.
