Carried on from here...
Hey! At last today we have seen birds on our new bird table! The worm meal has been disappearing for the last few days, but we hadn't actually seen any birds. Today, we saw several birds on the table, around 9:30 and then a bit later, a robin eating from the coconut we have attached to the table.....then, a squirrel clambered up, but he found nothing tasty so scampered off. It has made my day. I am amazed that after seeing nothing we get all this happening all of a sudden.

Love that robin video--would love robins to feed from my hands--I see them every year in my backyard but until this year they have always flown at the sight of movement through my kitchen window. The ones who visit this year do fly up from wherever they are in yard but perch on my line and I can talk to them so we are getting better ? They like Christmas cake !!

Oooo wow, that's excellent news Lynnrose. I wonder if they'll use your bird house when looking for a nesting site too. That would really put the icing on the cake.

I don't think we will get any nests as ours is open-sided. It looks very much like this one. We haven't planted any flowers yet.

Ah right, yes I see. It'll look lovely though anyway, in summer when you get it planted. I don't think flowers would live very long at the moment lol.

I took this handsome creature from my back doorstep. He/she is very tame and will take bread crumbs from my palm.

Ladies. The white patch behind Robins' head is actually snow.

We get loads of birds now and also a squirrel. We made the 'coconut toy' and he loved that and we now have made a squirrel house for nuts and he has been storing up like mad.
