I have an LG Chocolate
I am now looking at buying a Nokia E71...the red one. I have some research to do as this one is £295 and there must be cheaper ones out there. I only ever use Pay as You Go - Tesco sim - eg. top-up £10 and get £10 free credit thrown in.

I have got a LG mobile Lynnrose, with a personalised number plate. Its a KC550. I'm on contract with Virgin £8.30 a month. A 100 texts and 100 minutes a month, is plenty for me. Some of my mates are on Virgin as well and I've got an extra 100 minutes for Virgin users.

I have a Motorola EM 330. It does lots of things I'm not even bothered about like bluetooth, camera, radio, internet access, MP3 playing and came with a 1 GB micro SD that I've half filled with music I hardly ever listen to. I've played the inbuilt games twice and even added some as a proof of concept more than a wish to have new games.
But here's the thing, it looks ok, was cheap to buy and performs it's real functions of being a phone with text messaging facilities perfectly well.
My daughter has just got her fifth phone in two years, plumping for the Orange 'Vegas' this time. The first one I bought was cheap and cheerful with few features, but then I splashed out on a much better one for Xmas. Each new one she has had, has been better features for a cheaper price. The attraction of the 'Vegas' is the touchscreen facilities for an affordable price.
I don't care if a phone gives me a massage and makes me tea, I will never pay anything like £300 for one.
....and what happened to Tesco's bribe of treble the credit when you top up £15 ? They stopped doing that now?

Had an LG Chocolate but it fell to bits.
Had a KC550 but the battery would only last about 6 hours.
Still using a Sony K550i which I've had for several years.
Like Mikkh, I like something that works. Send and receive calls and Texts.
I use Orange which cost about £15 a month. Rarely use the free calls or texts simply because they don't apply to overseas.

My battery lasts me about a week Jojo, in fact it goes so long I tend to forget it needs charging. It charges very quick to, when I remember to put it on. I dont particularlly like the way the texting works, but I like the big font feature. I can almost read it without resorting to a microscope.

I'm still a devoted Motorola V3 fan. I use it to make calls and the occasional text, that's it. It's made of aluminium, is almost indestructible (I know I have tested several of them, my only advice would be not to drop one in a 2 gallon pot of paint as that seems to prove just a little too much for them).
I am on my forth one now, the first one I got on a contract when they first came out, the rest I bought second hand.....still going (except the painted one). Still think it's one of the best looking phones about. I'm on the Virgin £10 sim deal that gives me 300 Mins and 300 texts a month.
Just got the missus onto the Virgin £12 a month deal, she got a new Samsung Toco light with the deal (150 mins + 150 texts + 100 virgin to virgin). Good phone, so good in fact my son has pinched it off her so she's back on her CRAZR.

I have just bought a MiTAC Mio A701 Smartphone. Perhaps not the best PDA, but it does all that I need. Using the stylus on the touchscreen is much easier than trying to push them tiny buttons on an ordinary mobile. Its got both Miomap v 3 and Copilot Online GPS and for £117.00, the price was right. Its about 6 months old, but looks brand new. It runs Windows Mobile 5, with all the MS bits and pieces. I phoned Virgin yesterday, to change my package from phone and text to include unlimited data. The girl said it would take 3 days to upgrade my contract and I got a text this morning to say it would start on 20/08/09. Now I have visions of men with picks, shovels, jackhammers, diggers, bulldozers and cranes, working round the clock to upgrade my contract. I thought it could be done with a few taps on a computer keyboard, shows how wrong you can be.

I'm running a nokia 6230i which has and still is a brilliant phone for me I got the 512mb card so I've never run out of space with my music, & it is a great thing to stick on the windowledge in the bathroom when I'm having a soak playing all my music on the media player which is quite loud without being tinny & 'false' sounding. It's my 3rd nokia, I think I'll stick with them when I upgrade, though I've had this 2 years and its still going strong (touch wood) Cheers, John

Thanks Lynnrose I have added them to my favourites, their prices are great. I have bought stuff from Memory.com in Ireland, who are very good. Memory Bits are cheaper, but Memory. com sell things that Memory Bits dont.

My last phone I had to charge daily which was a pain but this one is much better I am with 3 so my daughter friends who are on 3 can phone me free this wee phone also has built in skype so is saving me a fortune on calls I have a couple of friends abroad who phone me on skype but I am not on the PC as often as I would like to be so now they can phone me free on skype on this so I love it.

If the pink one works as good as the black one, you have got a very good phone Lynnrose. Still for the price you cant go wrong, I paid nearly 90 quid when I bought one when they first came out.
