My left foot hurt the other day and I found I had my boot on the wrong foot. Imagine my surprise, when I found I had my other boot on the wrong foot as well.

I've had quite a few fishing related coincidences. Here's 3 I remember instantly, but there's been lot's more
Once I caught the same Pike 3 times in less than hour, well more hooked than caught. It smashed me on 2 lb line, then again on 6 lb line before I finally caught it on 10 lb line and found both the previous hooks in it !
The english championships were being held on the local Trent one year, so I went down to have a look. There were hundreds of anglers spread over miles and it was quite breezy that day. I'd only walked a few hundred yards when I spotted a ten pound note fluttering down the bank - cheers, that's mine. Because of the sheer size of anglers present, I only stopped to look and maybe have a brief chat with one in 30 of them. I was at least a mile down the river when I saw an angler landing a big fish from a distance and before I reached him, he was already into another fish. I stopped to observe him and said 'You're having a good day then' Yes he said, but it started badly when I pulled out my money to pay the bookie and ten pound went floating off down the bank!
We found a glorious Carp lake in Lincoln, where the average size was 20 lb and on my first trip I caught a beautiful common carp of 21 lb. It had a very distinctive mark near it's tail and I said I'll remember you my little beauty. One year later (to the day) we arranged to go back, but because of work, I couldn't make it till late evening. The 'gang' took my tackle for me and I instructed my nephew to put my tackle in the same swim as last year. I arrived about 8pm and found myself two pegs away due to a misunderstanding. It wasn't a one swim water, so I wasn't unduly worried and even though I was the last to arrive, I was the first to catch - one of the smaller ones at 15 lb. I went to have a chat with 'the captain' who was in the peg I wanted and took him a handful of bait I had used the previous year ( no, it was a new bag, not a year old) I mentioned what part of the swim I caught in last year, so he moved one of his rods and rebaited with the stuff I had given him. So you know what's coming! Same bait, same spot, same swim, same day - even the same time of day, he gets a bite. It was his biggest carp ever, so he collapsed in a heap after landing it and left me to unhook it. I spotted it straight away, there was the distinctive mark and here was the fish I caught the previous year - it also weighed 3 lb more

How about this for a coincident then. n the very same day my wife asked for my debit card to go shopping with my back account took a big hit and the balance left by that night was considerably reduced. Amazing eh!
