timesonline.co.uk today.
In time for summer picnics, the ready-hard-boiled egg will soon be available in Asda and Waitrose. Each egg will cost 45p and it is, says Rob Newell of the Happy Egg Company, “the perfect solution for people who love free-range eggs but don’t have the time or knack to prepare a boiled egg”.

If Asda charge 45p I am surprised Waitrose don't charge 90p

You wouldn't take them home - unless you *were* real lazy, but I guess as a grab and go snack or as an addition to a salad at lunchtime, it could possibly sell quite well. And of course it's ideal for throwing at politicians !

Do they sell them without the shell??? I find they are a bit crunchy if you pick um up and eat um with the shell on.

I'm sorry but a boiled is completely useless for throwing at members of Parliament. A raw, preferably three month old egg is far more effective. If you must throw something that is harder then I suggest a brick. Anyway not all MP's deserve such treatment, there are three or four who are quite conscientious and honest.

Yeah, Lloyd George, Clement Attlee, Harold Wilson and Winston Churchill. I trust them, they are all dead.
