Sometimes I post a message and 10 minutes later think, 'what a load of waffle, who is interested in that' and I go back and delete it. Or I think maybe that wasn't as funny as I thought and someone may be unintentionally offended. In 'real' life everyone seems to mind their own business these days and even living in a block of flats it can be 6 months or more between sightings of a neigbour living on the same floor. Whereas online people seem to share all manner of personal stuff with complete strangers. What a load of waffle. I'll probably delete this later on.

Yes, you're right Phoney, I've started (then deleted) many a thread both here and on other forums, thinking why am I telling them this anyway?
Gumtree is my favourite 'shall I/shan't I' post it place though - I love the dating classified section lol
I'm not interested in finding a soul mate, but I like to see the outlandish attempts to woo
One girl kept posting her pleas for a decent man and was brave enough to post a picture of herself - too brave unfortunately! She's probably a very nice person, but the photo was horrendous. A chubby Sue Pollard type with greasy hair and a sickly false smile. I replied and told her as much and begged her to find an honest friend to help her sort out a better photo.
She wasn't exactly grateful for my honest reply, but I was only trying to help her

That's a really good cartoon Lynnrose, sums modern life up exactly.
Blimey mikkh, I hope she didn't commit suicide after your honest appraisal of her looks. Hate to mention this but your slouched hangdog look in a lumberjacket and a brown beanie probably made her feel you were kindred spirits. That's a JOKE You're not an eco warrior are you?

It's a fishing photo - the only time I smile on purpose usually!
And I'm burdened by a 20 lb carp in my hands in that particular photo - hence the haunched posture
The jacket is a reversible one, fisherman green one way, lumberjack the other side. As I'd already broken the fishermans dress code by wearing a red jumper, I thought I'd be a right rebel and discard the green jacket too

Fishing is a strange sport; they took my shark fishing licence away from me, for using the wrong tackle. They didn't say anything about the 2 boxes of dynamite in the ice hold, it was the neighbours kids in the chum box that sparked it all off. They said I wasn't giving the sharks a fighting chance.
