Goodness, another change that annoys me.
So many children as it is are leaving school unable to spell.
I have always used this ryhme and must say it in my head at least once a week. I find it a great way to remember correct spellings.

Of course their are exceptions Lynnrose, but better than 99 times in a 100 its right. The kids will make less mistakes learning the rhyme than not. The way they teach my granddaughter to sound out little letters, I don't understand what shes on about. The old sounds were much closer to the pronunciations than the new. I don't understand where these people are coming from. English is a mixed up language as it is, I dread to think of how it will sound in 20 years time. I probably wont be around to listen to it anyway.
