I know what you're saying Mikk, and I'm sure there's an element of that in HP and MS's business plan - question is, who receives the sealed brown envelope and who pays the bar bill? I have to be fair, Linux is bloody good at recognising hardware and installing the right drivers for it - never had a problem in that respect. Trouble is, some of the apps I use will only run under Windows - and we all know that windows-generated files tend to lose something in the transition from Word (or whatever) to Open Office - in short, it's a bit of a faff. I'll get there, never fear!
