I got 73% overall btw, but the mechanical questions I just guessed as meaningless fillers
Even some of the IT related stuff (mostly about networks) was geeks trivia you never use on a daily basis - or even ever!
The only time I've needed to know about 'netbeui' was to answer a question in an exam.
The second computer course I ever did was quite heavily leaning towards programming and I learnt the joys of C++, Pascal, COBOL and even a bit of machine code 'hacking' I remember writing a hotel booking system in Pascal that was yards long, but actually gave me pleasure because it worked.
Do I remember anything about it now, having not used it for over 15 years? Nope, hardly a thing has been retained, yet I can still trot out the meanings of acronyms like SCSI, POP and HTML with ease

Well done. Your score of 52% indicates you'd be a suitable candidate for the Cerco course! A lousy 52% is good enough. They don't set their standards very high. I bet if you only scored 10% you'd be classed as suitable.

I wasn't good enough to fail totally, but I managed 11% and failed. They offered to sell me books, so I could pass in the near future. They are not sagacious enough to realise; a total illiterate could score 11%, just by clicking at random. The promise of £37 grand a year, might entice some foolish people into buying their books. Mikk probably spends a good part of his income on maintaining his Lamborghini.

Yes, my second home (garden shed) and holiday villa (tent when I go fishing) have all been paid for thanks to my lucrative earnings in the IT industry, but of course I only really do it for the pleasure it brings. To see a happy smiling face is all the payment I need - and is often all I get too!
The so called skills shortage is a complete fallacy, as I can still remember one of the first jobs I applied for when I got my first few pretty pieces of paper proving I was skilled enough to mimic out of date information that had been taught me the previous two years. It was maintaining a database of (out of work) IT staff ! As part of the interview I was let loose on the system and told to find and print off information about several people on a list.
I was given 10 minutes to complete the task, but did it in virtually seconds, so I spent the rest of the time having a look at peoples details to check where my recently acquired BTEC OND put me regarding qualifications
There were 30,000+ records and most seemed to have at least a degree to their name. What a depressing sight that was. I didn't get the job, and didn't really want it either, but I remember the thousands of people - not literally of course, just the sheer number of qualified staff looking to get a break in the IT sector
37 k a year, that's funny, that is. I only know one person who is approaching (well exceeding) that level of pay - and no it's not Bill Gates. Most IT staff don't even get 20k, unless they're quite high up in a multi-national company.
You're looking at just above minimum wages usually

Some of the tutors that I have worked with at the WEA, have spent years at Uni and have letters after their names. They are running about all over; to do a couple of hours here and there, just to scratch a living. They tried to get me to go to Peoples College for 6 months to become a tutor. I told them I would rather be a volunteer and have no comeback, than to be messed around for peanuts. Tutors are happy if I show up and give them a hand, but I dont have to be anywhere I dont want to be. IT is far from an easy game.

Well done. Your score of 48 % indicates that you would be a suitable candidate for the Cerco FastTrack course.
Congratulations on passing our Career Challenge which is the first Test to see if you could be suited to a career in I.T. Support.
Not bad for random guesses.
