OS XP/SP2 firewall & Antivirus The problem is it has put a desktop piccy on the desktop and i cannot for the life of me get rid of it. (see piccys) Any help will be gratefully received (she thinks i am a clever sod as i fix her computer, she's got a lot too learn ;D )

Elvis, I found this Don't know if you want to have a go at the suggestion. It is showing the exact same picture that you have.
Have you done a scan with malwarebytes?
More tips here

Hope this isn't obvious, but have you tried loading Windows in Safe Mode then deleting.
I find, if I run any security software, in Safe Mode, I seem to pick up bits that don't show up in full mode.

It looks like a variation of AntispywareXP 2009 bug Elvis, MBAM will get rid of it. Download the latest definitions before running it.

Try this? Ensure ALL your temporary internet files have been deleted. Make sure you empty C:\ ~~ \temporary internet files\content.ie5
To do this you'll have to go as far as temp internet files folder then ADD \content.ie5 to the address. Otherwise you won't get there.
Next ~ have a look for the file in C:\Windows\web\wallpaper It might well be there.
Next look in C:\windows for it.
See how that goes and shout back?
