I found this gif online Lynnrose and thought you might like it, so I've incorporated your name in to it. I'm posting both the original size and one a bit smaller in case you want to use it for a signature. Hope you like it.

That's a good one. I opened it in Ulead to see how it was done and tried to recreate the effect.

.....and were you able to give me the same wiggle?

I think they probably just did it with tweening Phoney, that's how I added the text in Photoshop. Does Ulead have tween in it's menu? If it does, for a simple animation you just basically create a start frame and an end frame then select tween and how many frames to add between and the frames are created. This should explain the idea much better than I can. www.insidegraphics.com/image_ready/web_animation_tutorials.asp

I'm checking out 'tweening' Roz. Cheers for link. Haven't heard of that before. Tried a wiggle in Paint and Ulead. I have Gimp on a mag CD but still haven't installed it. I have been trying to learn how to create Help Files using Camtasia-mind boggling.

Lol Roz, I must try to stop wiggling when I walk, or I'll have no feathers left to cover up my derier!
Good work Phoney x

Well done Phoney.
Yes, I think they probably used tweening on the zooming. So they'd only basically need to start with one frame, then a mirror copy of that (for creating the right and left wiggle) then tween a large version of the right wiggle with a smaller resized frame of itself, thus creating multiple frames, then the same with the left. And finally put them all together adjusting the order.

Lol Nocky, sorry, I have so much to do and not enough time to do it. You will have to put up with my fast wiggle, or spend some time looking at Phoney's slower one

Faster Slower ........ ........ I'm sure there's a way to make a gif blend into any background. Can't remember (if I ever knew) how to do it.

This is it with an invisible background.

OK Roz, you didn't say how you make background invisible so....... I googled invisible background and it appears some editing software such as PhotoShop has a 'make background invisible feature'. I'm using an 8 year old Ulead Gif animator which has a Transparent button but if I read correctly you must make the background of the first image a colour that's not used in the gif and then select 'transparent' for the first image only so here goes. If it doesn't work I'll install a more up to date animator such as Gimp or PhotoShop. I have them on a CD somewhere from a Vista mag. ........ Sod It!!! that didn't work Read the Help Files you dozy &%*$. I'll try later

I didn't say how I made it invisible Phoney, because I didn't do it lol. I just mirrored (flipped) Buzzy's original file. But I do use Photoshop, and with that you can chose to make it invisible or not. But yes, they do work by making one of the colours invisible and using that for the background, but I think you would need to do it on all frames not just one. Do you save each frame as a separate file, or does Gif Animator use layers? If it uses layers I would think it would automatically make a new layer with the same properties (e.g. invisible) unless told to do otherwise.
