Web sites seem to want to run increasing amounts of stuff, accessed elsewhere, before they will let you actually see anything.
Problem with flash are generally caused by an upgrade which either hasn't installed or installed badly.
If you have problems running YouTube videos then that will confirm it.
Just re-reun the Flash installer from the Flash site.

Agreed. I always have mine turned off.
Sorry I didn't mention it before. It didn't occur to me.
Another thing which does happen, increasingly lately, is that an advert, based on another site hasn't run.
I recently got a flash error here with something I think was called moneymedya.com
I know with most sites, there seems to be a hold up, while the page tried to access another, often for a graphic.
It could be that other browsers are not as affected.

Which version of IE are we talking about? Sounds like an old version to me. You should be using 8 or 9 if you insist on using IE. Script debugging should be off by default anyway. If you're still using XP use Firefox or Chrome instead or even Maxthon which uses IE system files as it's core

Is this what you're getting? I do too and it's really annoying. Sadly, no idea of what to do about it. Apologies of I misunderstood before.

HI this is exactly what I am getting and interestly enough it is happening on several pcs not just the one that reported it initially altough one can switch to google chrome etc this does not solve the issue why is this happening ...........on CIT flash is needed on site like bbc news live which is runnin fine. I personally think although this is just a guess that CIT is not the only example its just that its the only one showing at the moment. tried manually uninstalling flash then re_installing tried ie 7 and 8 anyone any ideasvery frustrating regards

I may be completely wrong here, but I suspect this is just another of those fairly recent innovations to get advertising to us.
I've noticed that so many, otherwise good sites, seem to take an age to load, now and again. Often, but not always, there is an indication on the bottom information bar, suggesitng trouble accessing another site.
Now I'm way out of my league here, but I understand that flash can also carry some advertising.
Sadly, we can't really do without it. The only significant attempt to exclude it was Apple and that was little more than some silly meglamanic, having temper tantrums, but offering no alternatives.
Why this one is causing trouble is a mystery to me. I suspect it contains something which our security software doesn't like.
In the past, some site owners and software vendors have suggested I reduce the security settings on my IE. I will be doing that when I stop locking my front door and leave my PIN number written on the back of my card!

You need to use something else like Firefox, Chrome, Maxthon or Opera if you have XP. Support for newer versions of IE stopped a while ago. 9 is definitely not available and maybe 8 too.
You're giving yourself security problems by sticking to IE
Firefox with adblockplus installed is my choice
